As a leader, I have the experience in leveraging the unique perspectives and knowledge of each individual to help me make informed decisions. I am a natural collaborator who is continuously sharing with and learning from my teammates. I pay attention to the details that each individual is problem solving to gain a deep understanding of realistic progress, focusing our efforts on the most valuable problems to help achieve our overarching goals. I strive to be a mentor, to understand my direct reports, and to leverage their unique genius in order to achieve our best results while creating an enjoyable work environment.
My architectural education at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design focused on creative problem solving, thinking about a problem through multiple scales – from the big picture to the smallest details. I developed the ability to break down a problem to its core issues, and use qualitative and quantitative research to build rigorous design strategies. Furthermore, I was fascinated with technology and automating the building process – having worked on several projects using industrial robotic arms to design and build complex architectural forms. I learned about product innovation, and internalized the human-centered design approach in developing products. My passion is in understanding people, learning from human behavior to develop products and experiences that people find truly enjoyable.
